The game begins by guiding you through the storyline of each chapter via a map marking base locations and enemy positions. Alongside this are dialogues that introduce the main content of each chapter. Navigate through these chapters using the left and right arrow buttons. Character interactions unfold through black dialogue boxes at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to follow the conversation and distinguish between friend and foe.

Upon entering the main battle interface, avatars of your characters appear alongside a position grid. You can rearrange these positions based on each character’s strengths, indicated by colored icons next to their avatars. Once the positioning and order are set, tap the glowing orange gear in the right corner to initiate the turn-based combat. You’ll observe the battle unfold without direct intervention; the team with the last surviving character emerges victorious.

Diverse Character System

Limbus Company features 12 inmates, each representing a unique character system. Each character belongs to a distinct class and may also possess various power systems, ranging from mercenaries and marksmen to warriors and counts. Encounter the cold Count draped in a black cloak, the white-haired warrior wielding a sharp katana, and the mage with vibrant orange hair and a magic wand. The predominantly black attire of the characters enhances the game’s somber atmosphere. Upgrade each character’s stats to bolster their power.

Flexible Power System

The character power control screen offers an intriguing feature: connecting the energies of your inmates. Between the two glowing orange gears lies a set of hexagons containing the power icons of each character in your party. These icons have different effects depending on their color. Connect these power icons to influence the battle’s flow. For example, enhance combat power with red icons or increase speed with blue icons.

Engaging Storyline

Limbus Company offers various battle modes, each with its own storyline. Initially, you can view the content of all story chapters. However, you must complete all levels within a chapter to unlock subsequent chapters. Delve deeper into the dark and dangerous world of Limbus Company to discover new content, environments, and enemies. Explore diverse landscapes, from desolate towns and haunted graveyards to forest edges.

Limbus Company’s projects are alphabetically designated from A to Z and arranged in a spiral, with area A at the center. The entire map is bathed in fiery red. Explore each area to earn gold. Notably, winning a battle allows you to cancel an opponent’s skill. Choose carefully, as this can significantly impact the final outcome, deciding whether your team or the opponent claims victory.
